Nesting 3

Ivy's room 3 Just in time for someone to live in it, the baby’s room is set up. I don’t think it’s quite “done” yet though, there is some prime wall space still empty. I plan on doing a painting for above the crib, we’ll see when that happens. Thanks to everyone who’s contributed to this room, I’m SURE Ivy will find it a calming and visually stimulating place.

Terror in the Birthing Class 0

Kelly and I took an all day birthing class at Crittenton on saturday. For the first 2/3 of the pregnancy we were both softly opposed to these classes. Our rational being that it’s just as natural and self explanatory as how we ended up pregnant and will have trained pros guiding us through it all. I’m not sure what changed, I just know that one day we weren’t taking one and the next day we were booked and paid for *8 hours of fun. (*there was a nice hour lunch break)

Right off the bat I was distracted by the videos… “Are those tracking lines, somebody clean the heads, wait…. VHS!!!!”. I got over the dated tech but I’m still not over the things I’VE SEEN & HEARD. I’m not really that worried. I’m sure instincts will kick in, adrenaline will flow and I’ll figure out how to be supportive and not an ass.

Stupid Appliances 0

Imagine you’re a house guest. Now after your hosts have gone to work you want to be nice & wash all the bedding you used. Now how would you feel if the washing machine’s transmission and motor burned out during that load. Unfortunately that’s exactly what happened to our friends Joie & Bryon with our washing machine. We have a home warranty so it’s covered (in 3 to 14 days).

Oh apartment life… I wish I could just call the super.
